Reader's Digest condensed update

Ok, quick update. I met Bob's dog. He liked me, if number of times the nose went to the crotch is any indication.

I met my girl's teacher. He's young. He's hot. He ran with the bulls. Is this not the perfect 5th grade teacher? I predict a major crush by the end of the year. (Although maybe not, he's IS a little young for me.)

The night before school started my child threw a major crying fit about going, about riding the bus, about whether or not she'd be able to find her classroom, etc. The morning of the first day of school - more of the same. The afternoon after the first day of school? Well, I asked her how it went. She said, "In a word? Miserable!" How's that for 10 year old drama? She relays the whole sordid day, mentioning about 22 trips to the bathroom. I took her to the doc's & it turns out she has a pretty serious bladder infection. Got her on some antibiotics & life is good now.

School is great. I missed the kids a lot more than I realized. Give me about two weeks and I'll be over it, but for now it's all good. I just need supplemental income now. This job doesn't pay me enough to maintain my lavish lifestyle. ;) Since I've been looking for a part-time job for many, many months now, I'm thinking maybe there's just not one out there that works with my schedule & my responsibility to my child. So I've resorted to applying for, yikes, full-time jobs!! The horror! I hate to do it, I'll miss my kids something fierce, but my original baby comes first. Sigh.
